During Barack Hussein Obama’s time in the White House, he allowed millions of people to get on welfare and freeload off the hard work of American taxpayers. Now that Donald Trump is in office, however, he isn’t about to let welfare leeches continue to live off the hard work of others.
Mad World News reported that since taking office, Trump has effectively taken food stamps away from 1.5 million people as he continues to reverse the damage Obama did. In the eight years Obama was president, food stamp enrollments skyrocketed to historic levels. In just the first six months that Trump was in office, food stamp enrollment decreased 1.48 million from 42,691,363 to 41,203,721.
The mainstream media has tried to make it look like Trump has taken public assistance away from the needy, but that’s not what he has done at all. Instead, he has given them jobs, meaning they can find a way to support themselves rather than rely on other workers.
The Democratic Party has long been “buying” votes by offering handouts to all sorts to low-income voters in exchange for their support come election season. However, as all of us taxpayers know, these so-called “freebies” are not free and are instead coming out of our own pockets.
This comes after video surfaced of welfare leeches in Georgia being told that their food stamps had suddenly been caught off. Notice how entitled these people are, acting like they deserve our hard-earned tax dollars.
This is exactly what Trump is trying to fight against.
When Trump’s Office of Management and Budget director Mick Mulvaney revealed the president’s budget earlier this year, he made it clear that the goal was to get people off welfare and into the workforce.
“We’re no longer going to measure compassion by the amount of money we spend, but by the number of people we help. That is how you can get 3 percent economic growth … Everything that we do in this administration, every single time I’m called into the Oval Office … the focus is sustained 3 percent economic growth,” Mulvaney said.
“We believe in the social safety net. We absolutely do,” Mulvaney added. “What we’ve done is not to try and remove the safety net for folks who need it, but to try and figure out if there’s folks who don’t need it that need to be back in the workforce.”
